INFORMATION & ADVICE
The D.I.A.L organisation in Nuneaton, Bedworth and surrounding area is staffed by trained information and advice workers. It has been providing disabled people with help and support on every aspect of disability for almost twenty years.
Most D.I.A.L staff are themselves disabled. Not surprisingly, therefore, as an organisation we are very conscious of the importance of equal opportunities. Hence, our services are readily accessible to both disabled and non-disabled people, wheelchair users, those with learning difficulties, the hard of hearing, the deaf, the visually impaired, the blind, the house bound and members of ethnic minorities.
As well as offering support and advice to private individuals, D.I.A.L also provides information to workers and volunteers in the Statutory and Voluntary sectors.
do you loan out wheelchairs if so how much does it cost.
D.I.A.L does have a wheelchair loan service. The hire is £1 a day with a minimum payment of £5. there is also a £20 returnable deposit. There is a maximum weight limit of 15 stone for users who live within the areas of Nuneaton,Bedworth and North Warwickshire. Unfortunately we are not able to reserve chairs in advance or deliver chairs. All chairs fold up sufficiently to fit in the average car boot.
